To set and maintain high standards in the Pest
Control Service Industry and to promote professionalism in the
Industry.

To review the regulatory mechanisms of the Pest
Control Service Industry, make recommendations for the improvement
of these mechanisms, and pursue the implementation of these
recommendations.

To set and maintain standard industry codes of
practice.

To advance the science and practice of pest
control.

To set (advice government) the statutory
requirements of Pest Control Service providers and their staff.

To secure the representation for the Board on
their bodies, the functions and objectives of which either partially
of fully fall within the scope of these objects.

To establish competency standards required of
individuals to carry out the various work of the industry.

To monitor, inspect and regulate the activities
of Pest Control Service Providers, Pest Control Operators and their
assistants to ensure they meet the standards required by the Board.

To maintain a register of all Pest Control
Service Providers together with such further information as the
Board may deem necessary from time to time.

To receive contributions, fees, donations and
legacies for the purpose of furthering the objects herein and to
spend such funds in accordance with these objects.

To upgrade and establish the Pest Control Service
Industry as a registered trade.

To set policy and administer all aspects of the
Pest Control Service Industry not covered by the Act.

To do whatever may be necessary to achieve the
objects set out above.

To work and liaise in close co-operation with
SAPCA, and The Registrar Act 36 of 1947 and any other organization,
institution or body to further the interest of the board.
